You can expect your fresh flowers to last for several days, and up to 2-3 weeks depending on the variety. By nature, carnations and daisies remain vibrant for up to 3 weeks while others on average remain lively approximately 5-7 days. After you receive your flowers, it is important to keep them away from direct sunlight and in a cool area not to exceed 70-72 degrees. Excessive heat will cause the flowers to dehydrate.
If your flowers arrived loose in a vase or similar container.
Change the water every 1-2 days and use any floral food provided and as directed. Remove any leaves or other debris from the water to avoid bacteria growth. If you are able to, cut about 1/2" from the bottom stem using shears or a sharp knife. Be careful!
If your flowers arrived designed in floral foam.
Keep the floral foam moist. Floral arrangements in floral foam are generally short-lived when compared to fresh flowers loose in a vase. These arrangements are to provide the customer with a specific design and are created primarily for temporary display. However, depending on the variety of flowers and care taken, these may remain lively for several days.
